Feeling rejected and not welcomed in the movie-community, Aldo decided to put on a hold his acting career, and work on a different album. He wasn't sure what style to approach this time and he went looking for a different producer to give him that special 'new edge' that he needed.
After trying to work on the album with several producers, Aldo diSorbo approached J.P. Williams with an offer. Aldo was really attracted by this producer's unique experimental style. J.P. Williams was the first one to support his experimental personality and trusted him as a song-writer.
During the creation of his first album with J.P., Aldo's first son was born. This not only changed Aldo's life drastically, but also his writing style. His first single from the album was dedicated to his son and become rapidly a hit.
As J.P. notes 'He became more mature, his writing wasn't so much self-centered as before, I think he felt free. He knew he was supposed to be responsible for this new life brought on Earth, but at the same time, his son was the one to give him the freedom of expressing himself that he needed.'
Although he has been nominated several times, he never received a Grammy Award until He won 'Album of the Year'.
